John 7:24 Stop judging by mere appearances, and make a right judgment.
Prayer
Dear Lord, I come to you today with a contrite heart, I ask that you forgive me for every thought of doubt and unbelief I have expressed towards you. I know sometimes my words do not align with my heart and I ask that you help me to trust you more. You said you elevate your word more than your name, help me to understand what that really means.
Lord, you said I should call unto you and you will answer me and show me great and unsearchable things I do not know. I ask you reveal these things to me as I seek your word. Holy Spirit, I ask that you fill my thoughts with your wise counsel that I will have a deep understanding of your word and that my confidence will be rooted and grounded in you. Help me to know your plan and purposes for my life and to walk in it circumspectly.
Develop within me the ability to see beyond the physical; what the eyes can see, or ears can hear, but rather help me to see deeper into the heart and give me the power to perceive and judge things correctly as you reveal the precepts of my life to me. I cast away every idol in my heart and every stronghold that keeps me from hearing you clearly. I uproot every ill-conceived idea planted in my heart and mind about how to choose a mate and how to conduct my relationships and my marriage. I commit myself to renewing my mind by your word, which is living and active, sharper than any two edged sword and will pierce through the soul and spirit to discern and reveal to me the thoughts and intents of the heart.
I decree that I will walk by the Spirit and not by sight when making decisions concerning my future mate. I know that everything born of the flesh is physical and eventually dies, but everything born of the Spirit is Life and Life eternal. I declare my relationship and my marriage will be born of the Spirit, and not of the flesh. Your Holy Spirit within me will give me the inward to know who my husband is and I will recieve a divine word regarding my future mate. I decree I have the mind of Christ, therefore I am not confused or in doubt of who you have chosen for me.
Every good and perfect gift is from above, therefore I believe you will provide me with a good man. I decree I will desire your will for my life and make the right decision about who I spend time with, develop relationships with, and eventually marry. Protect me from every wrong judgment, choice and from following my own path. I decree I will be guided by your Spirit to know and desire the things you want for my life. By His strength, I will not depart from your way.
In Jesus name. Amen.
